Live from Derrylin
John is broadcasting live from Derrylin, Fermanagh, at the home of singer Cathy McGovern, with Clare Brogan of Row the Erne, choreographer Dylan Quinn and Caritas choir.
This Easter, on Saturday 20th April, The John Toal Show will be in Derrylin village in Fermanagh, to broadcast live from the workshop of interior design blogger and singer Cathy McGovern. The house has been in her family for generations and was until the 1960s the local shop in the area.
John will be celebrating with Fermanagh's All-Ireland GAA Hogan Cup winners - St Michael’s of Enniskillen.
When Clare Brogan isn’t cooking in the cafe of Enniskillen Castle, she is sailing along Lough Erne in a Curragh with ‘Row the Erne’. Last year the group sailed from Ireland to Scotland over eight days and they regularly run events from teaching school children how to sail to running bush craft sessions.
Choreographer Dylan Quinn shares why Fermanagh is firmly on the map of contemporary dance and tells John about the classes he runs including Baby Boogie Club - where children dance and their parents copy.
Diana McChesney from Lisbellaw is setting up swap shops and running eco-brick workshops at local primary schools, to share what we all can individually do, to do our bit for the environment.
Community choir Caritas, which ranges in age from 12 years old to 82 years young, perform live ahead of their concert at The Ardhowen on 26th April.
Bernard Leddy tells John why he took up ancient stick fighting and shows John some combat moves.
Paula is barbecuing lamb in the back garden and John meets one special Easter Bunny - nine year old Belfast girl Jasmine - who has collected over 600 Easter Eggs to give to children who are sick in hospital over Easter.
