Scotland The Best, Dundee's Verdant Works and The Great British Spring Clean

Martel chats with Pete Irvine about how Scotland and its tourism has changed over 25 years.

25 years ago Pete Irvine set off to explore Scotland but quickly realised there wasn’t the kind of guidebook he needed, so he decided to write one himself. With the latest edition released this week he chats with Martel about how things have changed.

With the number of visitors to Dundee's Verdant Works museum on the increase, Martel takes her gran, who worked in the Jute Mill for over 35 years, on a trip down memory lane.

Bowler hats, custard pies and possibly the best slap stick comedy ever… it can only be Laurel and Hardy! And as part of the Hippfest Silent Film Festival this weekend, they’re showcasing a triple bill of classic films and we hear from one man who has a family connection to the stars.

Alan Brown chats to Martel about his new book, Overlander, and why he thinks that anyone can have a biking adventure, not just the Mark Beaumont’s of the world.

And now the Spring Equinox has happened, does this mean spring is really here and can we finally get into the garden again? Nicola McNaughton gives us her thoughts and some top tips for spring gardening.

We all know that litter and rubbish in our local area can be a horrible mess, but what can we do to combat the tide of litter we see of a daily basis? Friday marks the start of the Great British Spring Clean and we chat with Allison Ogden-Newton, the CEO of Keep Britain Tidy, about the initiative.

And we hear about a brand new adventure festival that is bringing a shot of adrenaline to Inverness.
