The 2018 Chopin and his Europe festival opened with a programme of Penderecki, Debussy, Bizet and Chopin himself; this is followed by solo works played on the fortepiano by Alexei Lubimov, twentieth century discoveries by Tansman and Rathaus, and a fizzling fortepiano concerto by J C Bach
