'Why did we bring in the insurance man?'

When men came to the house for their money, only some were allowed into the hall. The Provident man was kept at the front door. The coal man came on a Friday when he was clean.

When the men came to the house for their money, not all of them were allowed to come through the door to the front hall. The milkman came in, the insurance man came in but the Provident man was kept waiting at the front door. The coalman came on a Friday after he was washed but Sean thinks you may have been giving money to a stranger. When the man came to empty the gas meter he would put some of the shilling coins in a pile on the kitchen table as discount. A request comes in for someone in Belper which is in Derbyshire. Janet says it looks lovely because she's been on the internet looking at it. Mark in Derry once gave a girl a lift from London to Belper. Music from Dave Clark Five, Fats Domino, Pussycat, Merle Haggard, Lou Bega, Big Tom and more.
