Brexit withdrawal deal vote, hospital waiting, and are dating apps turning us into narcissists?
Is it the end of the road for Theresa May? The PM faces a crushing defeat in the withdrawal agreement meaningful vote tonight.
A woman suffering from Crohn’s disease was forced to sit in a chair for 29 hours in the Royal's A&E Department because of a shortage of beds and trolleys. 57 year old Yvonne Henry has battled the bowel disorder for most of her life and at the weekend took ill with a severe bout of the condition. After being sent to A&E by her doctor, Yvonne had a lengthy and very uncomfortable wait - as her daughter, Nicola, told Vinny.
Also on the programme, the Cabinet is gathering in 10 Downing Street for its regular Tuesday meeting. But there's nothing regular about today at Westminster. The scene is set for a vote that could define the future of the UK - and the future of the Prime Minister. MPs will vote tonight on the deal struck by Theresa May setting out the terms of Britain's departure from the European Union. Many - including some Tory MPs - believe that Mrs May is facing a heavy defeat. It's nearly impossible to predict exactly what will happen in that case - but our Business and Economics Editor John Campbell has been looking at the options – and Vinny got the views of Kevin Maguire from the Daily Mirror and Sam Coates from The Times.
And, what are dating apps doing to our mental health? According to one professor, they bring out behaviours which psychotherapists would have historically regarded as "slightly pathological and narcissistic." Psychotherapist Denise Dunne was talking to Â鶹Éç online's Like Minds. So - are dating apps turning us into narcissists? Are they making us display pathological behaviours? Or is it all just a bit of fun, and should people lighten up? Vinny got the views of Naomh McElhatton the CEO of digital education consultancy Smart NI, and the man about town Chris Suitor.
