Alisa Weilerstein, James Newby, The OAE

Cellist Alisa Weilerstein and baritone James Newby perform in the studio.

Cellist Alisa Weilerstein's new album Transfigured Night explores the stylistic contrasts of the First and Second Viennese Schools by pairing Haydn with Schoenberg. She performs in the studio ahead of her concert with the Czech Philharmonic at the Royal Academy of Music. Baritone and 麻豆社 New Generation Artist James Newby sings live and is joined by a quartet from the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, who are performing Handel's Apollo and Daphne at Queen Elizabeth Hall.
