Derry's Eden Project
At a Regeneration Conference in Derry, The Eden Project and Foyle River Gardens announce a plan to transform the city's Boom Hall and Brook Hall estates.
The Eden Project has announced a major new partnership with the Foyle River Gardens that would transform the riverfront between the Boom Hall and Brook Hall estates. Those behind the initiative want to open up 225 acres of previously inaccessible land to the public and create 8km of riverside trails, connecting the site to the rest of the city and the Wild Atlantic Way. They say it could attract 400,000 visitors a year.
The plan is announced at the Inner City Trust's Walled City Conference at the Guildhall in Derry, with major figures from regeneration and town planning across the world.
