Eamonn McCann, one of the leaders of the Duke Street march of October 5 1968 on what it led to, and what it meant: "Anyone who was involved in street politics at that time should acknowledge that they were involved in things that led on to more serious, and bloodier actions. I regret that we didn't minimise the chances of that happening, but I do not regret getting involved in civil rights."
