A disabled man has been turned away from a flight at Belfast International Airport after he was told his wheelchair repair kit was a security risk.

A disabled man has been turned away from a flight at Belfast International Airport after he was told his wheelchair repair kit was a security risk. Steve Smithers had been hoping to visit his sick father at the weekend when he said staff told him the spanners could be used to "dismantle the plane". The airport has apologised but disability groups say lessons must be learned.
