2018 MacAulay Cup Final
Jonathan Sutherland presents live shinty coverage as Kyles Athletic and Kinlochshiel go head to head in the MacAulay Cup final from Mossfield Park in Oban.
Jonathan Sutherland presents live coverage of one of the showpiece events in the shinty season - the MacAulay Cup final - from Mossfield Park in Oban.
The 2018 final sees two of top teams in the country, Kyles Athletic and Kinlochshiel, go head to head. Kinlochshiel won the trophy for the first time in their history in 2016, while Kyles have won the competition 12 times, the most recent in 2017 with a record 7-4 victory over rivals Newtonmore.
Kinlochshiel reached the final with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Lovat in Beauly, with Jordan Fraser scoring the only goal of the game to keep their hopes of a second MacAulay Cup final win alive.
Kyles Atheltic had Sandy Mackenzie to thank for their 2-1 victory over Oban Camanachd at Moss Park, with the forward scoring either side of a Lorne Dickie goal.
Commentary is by Hugh Dan MacLennan and Gary Innes.
