The HALO Trust

The HALO Trust has been clearing landmines for 30 years. It protects lives and restores livelihoods for those threatened by war. It works in over 24 countries destroying landmines and other explosive debris and teaches people how to stay safe.

The problem

The problem

After years of conflict the towns and villages of Syria are littered with landmines, IEDs and unexploded bombs. HALO is already on the ground in Syria destroying unexploded debris, but we also need to teach people how to be safe.

What we鈥檙e doing

What we鈥檙e doing

Children are especially vulnerable. Their innocent curiosity puts them at risk of injury or death. HALO teaches Syrian children and their families how to recognise and report unexploded bombs and landmines.

How you can help

How you can help

HALO has already reached 160,000 people in Syria but it is not enough. A gift of 拢40 would allow us to run a class for 30 more children.
