Money Box Live: Multi-jobbing

How to make a living from doing more than one thing: whether you're an architect who teaches on the side or a stockbroker with a gardening business, is this the future of work?

How to make a living from doing more than one thing? Many of us are giving up the idea of a career for life, in favour of juggling a collection of jobs at the same time. You may be a chef who teaches on the side or a stockbroker with a gardening business, but what are the pros and cons of managing several roles in one go? Does it give us more freedom or just more headaches? Adam Shaw discusses whether multiple-jobbing is a liberating choice and the clearest sign that the lifetime career is so over.

With Adam in the studio are:
Writer and podcaster, Emma Gannon, whose book The Multi-Hyphen Method examines how people can cope with the new world of work;
and Bernd Vogel, Professor in Leadership at Henley Business School

Presenter: Adam Shaw
Producer: Sally Abrahams
