Figures reveal that the number of students from disadvantaged areas starting full-time degrees in 2016 was down. The target is twenty per cent of Scotland's University entrants will come from the most deprived 20 per cent of the country by the year 2030 it's currently 13.8% But are we too focused on the numbers of Scots going to higher education - what about other options?
