Episode 4

Dairyman Ed may be closer to finding love, but things are still complicated for farrier Mark, and the knives are out on Wendy鈥檚 farm.

Love in the Countryside is a six-part 麻豆社 Two series that sees eight rural dwellers from across the UK enlist the help of farmer鈥檚 daughter Sara Cox in their quest for love. As Sara knows, if you work on the land, you鈥檙e often wedded to it, so she takes the bull by the horns and goes on a mission to find our lonely rural romantics the partner of their dreams.

All eight rurals have posted detailed dating profiles online in the hope of attracting letters from urban singles looking to quit the hectic nine-to-five in favour of a slower pace of life.

After meeting some of those that wrote in, 59-year-old pig farmer Wendy and 53-year-old Farrier Mark both invite two potential love interests to experience rural life back at their respective homes.

Despite hoping to meet a younger man, Wendy is drawn to former banker Paul and businessman Simon, both 64. On their arrival at Wendy鈥檚 farm, the competition intensifies with both men vying for her heart, and while Simon finds himself in a difficult position, things become clear for Wendy.

Farrier Mark invites 45-year-old lorry driver Sarah and 58-year-old florist Renita to spend time with him in remote East Anglia. He finds himself attracted to both women, which results in complications.

In this episode, we also catch up with 25-year-old dairy farmer Ed. He invited three women back to spend time on his farm, but he is still unsure if he has found the one. Ed travels to visit 29-year-old Lisa and 25-year-old Rebecca in their home towns; and while finding true love is never easy, it looks as though Ed may be getting closer.

So, when two worlds collide, can Cupid work his magic, and will our eight rural romantics find love in the countryside?
