This series follows vets across Scotland as they tend to small, large and very wild animals. In this programme, Stornoway-based vet Hector Low is using needles with a difference on a pug. Instead of an injection, this dog is getting acupuncture treatment.
In Angus, the vets from Forfar are kept busy with horses, from two Clydesdales to a miniature Shetland pony, but it is the little one that gives them the biggest problem. And, at the Wildlife Rescue Centre, vet Romain Pizzi has his hands full with newborn hedgehogs and a tiny woodmouse.
