Further unrest is feared in Gaza today after nearly 60 Palestinians were shot dead by Israeli forces in the worst day of violence since the 2014 war. The Palestinians are staging mass protests to mark the seventieth anniversary of what they call the Catastrophe - when hundreds of thousands of people fled or were expelled from their homes as a result of the creation of Israel. Yesterday's violence flared as America moved its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

A Buncrana hotel has cancelled a royal wedding tea party after complaints. The Sinn Fein senator, Padraig Maclochlainn, says the Inishowen Gateway decided not to go ahead with their plan to mark the marriage of Prince Harry and Megan Markle after a negative reaction on social media. The hotel's refused to comment. But the fallout has divided opinion in the popular seaside town.
