Musical treats with Sikh Kirtan singer Manika Kaur and country singer Jenn Bostic.

Jason Mohammad and the Rev Kate Bottley have a feast of treats this morning from across the musical spectrum.

Kate and Jason meet a Charity Champion who takes her musical talents onto hospital wards and into dementia care homes. Music and health specialist Holly Marland explains why she plays the kora in intensive care units and how music can help those with advanced dementia communicate and create.

Manika Kaur is the leading interpreter of sacred Kirtan music, Sikh hymns which set the words of the Gurus to music. Her videos have been watched over 4 million times on Youtube. But she's also a dedicated philanthropist and tells GMS how she donates all of the proceeds of her music towards charitable causes.

And Christian singer-songwriter Jenn Bostic swaps Nashville for Salford to perform live tracks from her new album 'Revival'. Plus our listeners tell us about the moments music has moved them.
