Ten people are killed after a van drives into pedestrians in Toronto. Canadian police say it was deliberately driven into pedestrians, but the motive of the driver is unclear.

Canadian police say the van which hit and killed ten people, and wounded fifteen others in Toronto was deliberately driven into pedestrians. But they say the motive of the twenty-five-year-old driver remains unclear. Canada's public safety minister said there did not appear to be any national security implications.

The family of a Derry schoolboy, who was killed by a plastic bullet in Derry almost 40 years ago, has accused the Northern Ireland Office of withholding a file on the killing. Paul Whitters was just 15 years old when he was shot in 1981. His uncle Tony Brown believes the file is being held at the National Archives and will remain closed until 2059.
