A Northern Ireland-born Labour MP will today introduce a Bill at Westminster to allow same-sex marriage in Northern Ireland. A similar Bill in the Lords passed its first stage after being introduced by the Conservative Peer Lord Hayward yesterday. Campaigners are also to hand in a 30,000-strong petition at Downing Street later calling for the government to back same-sex marriage legislation here.
