Nomia Iqbal
The Saudi Crown Prince is on a visit to the UK. Is it right for the royal to have received the red carpet treatment, given the criticism of Saudi Arabia's human rights record?
The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia has been on a 3 day visit to the UK. Mohammad bin Salman has met the Queen and the Prime Minister. But Saudi Arabia has been criticised for having a poor human rights record and being responsible for thousands of civilian deaths in the war in Yemen. So Nomia asks whether the Crown Prince should have received the red carpet treatment? Then, to mark International Women's Day, Nomia hears from three Asian women who've made a success for themselves in traditionally male dominated jobs, including Sandeep Kaur Tak who plays football for Tottenham Hotspur Ladies. Carrying on with powerful women, Nomia then talks to some of those behind the #trailblazingwomen social media campaign, which features 21 'powerful Muslim women'. After that, hear from the Home Secretary Amber Rudd on how the Government wants to tackle domestic abuse in the UK. And finally Nomia will be talking to Tiffany Sweeney and her mum Maureen, about their new documentary Grandma, Guyana and Me. It's all about the experience that her Guyanese mother had emigrating to the UK.
