How do you turn a fussy eater into an eager little chef? The food writer and co-founder of Leon, Allegra McEvedy joins Jenni to talk about how to teach children to cook. What are the best recipes to start with, how do you get your child to enjoy good home cooking and eating for life?
Recent reports of the possible release from prison of high profile sex offenders have led to questions about how a decision that someone is fit to be back in day to day public life is arrived at. Woman's Hour looks at what kind of therapeutic treatment is offered in prison and how effective the programmes are. Dr David Ho, consultant forensic psychiatrist and clinical research lead for South Essex Secure Mental Health Services and Riana Taylor, Chief Executive Officer for Circles UK who provide therapeutic programmes for sex offenders join Jenni, as does Conservative MP Victoria Prentis, member of the Justice Committee.
The Channel 4 drama Kiri tells the story of a nine-year-old black girl who is about to be adopted by a white middle-class family. Kiri goes missing on a supervised visit with her birth grandparents and what follows is a story about race, class, mistakes and good intentions. Jenni talks to actor Lia Williams who plays Kiri's foster mother Alice Warner.
