D-day in Brexit talks - is a deal on the Irish border any closer?

Reports this morning that there has been no breakthrough in the overnight talks between British, European Commission and Irish officials on what happens to the border post Brexit.

Reports this morning that there has been no breakthrough in the overnight talks between British, European Commission and Irish officials on what happens to the border - post Brexit. RTE's Tony Connelly says that it now looks unlikely the Irish cabinet will have a form of words on the future border to approve at its meeting in Dublin which is happening right now. Vinny spoke to Conservative MP Crispin Blunt, commentator Patricia McBride and SDLP MLA Claire Hanna.

Also on the programme, Only 1 in 20 journeys in Northern Ireland are made using public transport as reported by the Belfast Telegraph. According to the travel survey - which collects yearly transport data for the government - 71 per cent of all journeys between 2014 and 2016 were made by car. Green Party Leader Steven Agnew has said the figures show that it's time to end the under investment in public transport. He joined Vinny this morning along with commentator Fionola Meredith.
