Britain’s most dangerous roads
In 2016, 1792 people were killed on our roads with over 50% of road deaths occurring on rural roads. Many of our roads are long outdated and not built for the traffic of today.Â
Margherita Taylor has come to one of Britain’s most dangerous roads to find out the reasons behind the shocking statistics and what we can do to improve safety on rural roads.
Life after death
Layers of gothic decay, bones, beetles and things that go bump in the night. The idea of visiting a cemetery after dark, especially at Halloween, might send a shiver down your spine. Jules Hudson heads to the Victorian cemetery of Arnos Vale in Bristol as the gates are locked for the night to find out what comes alive after dark.
All around the UK cemeteries like Arnos Vale have become sanctuaries for an incredible array of wildlife species and Jules finds out about the work being done to allow the dead and the living to exist in peace and harmony in the cemetery.

Poison Garden
The Alnwick Gardens in Northumberland are a popular destination for visitors year round. But there is one garden that is so deadly it has to be kept under lock and key. With expert guidance, Keeley Donovan is entering the notorious Poison Garden to find out what harmful plants might be lurking in your own back yard and how to safely look after them. Around the corner, Keeley meets a group of green-fingered enthusiasts with an altogether more wholesome gardening agenda.
Worm farming
Ellie Harrison is in Worcestershire meeting a farmer with a difference. Ken Nelson farms a two acre site, his harvest? Worms. These humble invertebrates were recognised by Darwin as one of the most important creatures in the history of the world. By breaking down dead organic matter they release nutrients from dead plants and animals and make them available for living plants. As a result Ken has long list of gardening clients keen to produce the finest soils.
