18/10/2017 - Tony Doherty

Derry man Tony Doherty remembers carrying two firebombs down Clarendon Street in Derry for the IRA. And a return to direct rule is looking highly likely. Do you care?

It was 36 years ago. An 18-year-old man walked down Clarendon Street in Derry with a firebomb in each hand - four containers filled with petrol, in two black plastic bags. Tony Doherty, who was just a child when his father Paddy was shot dead on Bloody Sunday, speaks about the incident, before the launch of his new book, The Dead Beside Us. And a return to direct rule is looking highly likely. Do you care? Mark hears from a school principal, a community worker, political watcher, and economist to hear what it means for us.
