An t-seachdain-sa, bidh sinn a' cur fà ilt' air Kathleen Reddy, a rugadh 's a thogadh ann an Ceap Breatainn. Fhad 's a bha i a' fas suas, bha fhios aice gum b' i a' Ghà idhlig cà nan a dualchais, ged nach bitheadh i ga cluinntinn ach air an rèidio. Dh' ionnsaich i Gà idhlig aig Oilthig Phrainnseis Xavier, agus fhuair i teisteanas teagaisg Gà idhlig aig Colaiste Cnoc Iòrdain ann an Glaschu. Tha Kathleen air a bhith a' teagasg ann an sgoiltean air a' Ghà idhealtachd agus anns na h-Eileanan Siar. Chuir i seachad grunn bhliadhnaichean a' fuireach ann an coimhearsnachd an Uibhist a Deas. Ann an Alba Nuadh, tha Kathleen air a bhith a' teagasg chùrsaichean Gà idhlig do dh' inbhich agus ann an Colaiste na Gà idhlig ann an Ceap Breatainn. Bha i cuideachd ag obair mar oide Gà idhlig aig Oilthigh Phrainnseis Xavier fad trì bliadhna. Tha Kathleen dìreach air crìoch a chuir air ceum maighstireachd ann an Ceiltis agus Gà idhlig aig Oilthigh Ghlaschu agus tha i an-drà sta a' tòiseachadh air a PhD. 'Se ùrnaighean Gà idhlig ann an coimhearsnachdan Caitligeach, an cuspair rannsachaidh aice.
John welcomes Kathleen Reddy for some engaging chat and plenty of country and Americana music. Kathleen was born and raised in Cape Breton where she learnt Gaelic. Since moving to Scotland she has taught Gaelic at various schools throughout the Highlands and Western Isles. She lived on South Uist for many years.
