John Cooper Clarke
Mark and Stuart doffing their literary caps to today's guest, The Bard of Salford, Dr John Cooper Clarke!
Mark and Stuart doffing their literary caps to today's guest, The Bard of Salford, Dr John Cooper Clarke! The punk rock poet is one of the hardest working men in wordsmithery and he's here to talk about a major new national spoken word and poetry festival in Hull. 'Contains Strong Language' started yesterday, on National Poetry Day, and is a celebration of new and existing poetry inspired by Hull itself. John will be here to tell us more, and no doubt recite some of his latest ponderings on life in his own inimitable style.
As well as that, there's a smattering of brand-new releases and some classic records you thought you'd forgotten about...then there's YOUR chance to be on the wireless by suggesting the next track for The Chain, over nearly SEVEN THOUSAND conjoined records! Huddle round that office DAB speaker with your choice of afternoon beverage to gain victory in today's Teatime Themetime: you the ACTUAL listener get to try and discover the link between 3 records before anyone else. Plus there's another round-up of all the latest goings-on in Music News. Who could ask for anything more?
