The Scottish Parliament is being urged to improve testing and treatment for Lyme disease. The bacterial infection Lyme Disease is more common in Scotland than any other part of the UK. While it's difficult to put an official figure on the total number of British cases, it's estimated that there are 2,000 to 3,000 new cases in England and Wales each year.
Tens of thousands of new homes could be built under Government plans to tackle the housing crisis. The Housing Minister, Sajid Javid, set out a proposal which could see councils increase housebuilding by up to 40 per cent over the next decade in parliament yesterday. We discuss the issues.
