When the clock strikes four this afternoon the time will officially be up. And what will the months of crises and the countless hours of negotiation all end up with? Perhaps another a new deadline? Also on the programme, outrage as bonfire builders close east Belfast car park. The council removed pallets from land near the Comber Greenway in March and agreed to store it for the bonfire builders. But a council committee decided not to return the wood, prompting those involved with the bonfire to start building a huge new pyre in the car park.

Car Park Bonfire
A car park in east Belfast has been closed to the public by bonfire-builders.
The site, which is run by the City Council, is just off the Upper Newtownards Road at Ravenscroft Avenue.
The council removed pallets from land near the Comber Greenway in March and agreed to store it for the bonfire builders. But a council committee decided not to return the wood, prompting those involved with the bonfire to start building a huge new pyre in the car park.
