Abortion
Scotland is considering offering free abortions to women from Northern Ireland, it is being reported.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is said to be examining ways the procedure could be made available in Scotland on the NHS.
Last week the UK's highest court narrowly rejected an appeal by a mother and daughter in their legal battle for women from Northern Ireland to receive free abortions on the NHS in England.
Supreme Court justices announced their three to two majority decision in London.
The woman at the centre of the appeal was 15 years old in October 2012 when she and her mother travelled from Northern Ireland to Manchester. She had to pay hundreds of pounds for a private termination because she was excluded from free abortion services.
Last year five girls under 16 from Northern Ireland - made the journey to England for an abortion.
Carer
Last week was carers week. And did you know there are nearly a quarter of a million people in Northern Ireland providing care to an older, disabled or seriously ill loved one. Our reporter, Nicola Weir, went to see Esme Charles at her home in Cookstown. She's been looking after for her husband, Denis, for over forty years after he was diagnosed with MS just seven years after they were married. Esme spoke to Nicola about the trauma of the diagnosis, her struggle to cope with her husband's deteriorating health and how her role of carer has tested her physically, mentally and emotionally.
Mental Health Review
Did you know that in 2012, the five year average suicide rate for 15 to 19 year olds was four times higher in Northern Ireland than for England and Wales. And, in 2014, 550 under 16s and 5500 16 to 19 year olds were prescribed anti-depressants or anti-anxiety drugs. The Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People, Koulla Yiasouma, has now launched an Independent Review of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services or CAMHS in Northern Ireland following concerns that provision is inadequate and access is unequal.
