How have you fared during the decade of austerity?
Some commentators believe the election result was a protest at economic policies that have made many people poorer. The aim of austerity was to reduce the national deficit through cuts to public spending and making the economy more competitive. But the deficit has remained stubborn while many feel they have suffered from rising living costs, cuts to public sector services and stagnant wages.
Some people have had a good decade though, with low mortgage rates and rising property values.
Have you become poorer since the downturn, or have you prospered?
We want to hear your story. Tell us how you've fared during the decade of austerity.
