Episode 38
A Kist o Wurds, presented by Helen Mark, celebrates all things Ulster-Scots.
Helen Mark is in east Antrim at the Friends' Goodwill Festival in Larne, named for the emigrant ship that sailed west from there exactly 300 years ago, in May 1717. With history, music, and a taste of drama, the festival celebrates the many thousands of emigrants from Northern Ireland who crossed the Atlantic to find a new home in America. And in north Antrim, Charlie Gillen has news of an upcoming commemoration of a local hero from World War I.
