Shaun Keaveny kicks off the celebrations for Iggy Pop's seventieth birthday, including special Iggy track recorded by Moon Duo.

Shaun kicks off the celebrations for the legendary Iggy Pop's 70th Birthday. For one day only Shaun is suspending his ban on Birthdays as we encourage the 6 Music audience to pass on their best wishes to the rock legend. The 'Godfather of punk' is considered by many to be one of the pioneers of punk rock music, and his musical legacy has inspired and energised rock and roll's alternative spirit since the late Sixties, both in The Stooges and as a solo artist. His charismatic and full-on stage presence marks him as a truly iconic frontman.

To celebrate this Moon Duo have recorded a special Iggy track for us after 9am.

Shaun also has an exclusive #RSD17 track from The Flaming Lips and Murray Lachlan Young performs a very special vacuum cleaner poem as Shaun continues to get to grips with his new machine.
