Sinn Fein calls for an election if there's no agreement in talks by Friday
Give the people another election if there is no agreement by Friday in the Stormont talks. That's the demand made by Sinn Fein, not once but twice.
Yesterday afternoon Michelle O'Neill said she wanted an election if talks to form an executive fail, and last night Sinn Fein deputy leader Mary Lou McDonald said the people must have their say if the British government and the DUP continue to block equality and previous agreements.
Also on the programme, videos showing a man being violently removed from a United Airlines flight have provoked an outcry on social media. The footage taken inside the airliner shows a man being violently pulled out of his seat and dragged down the aisle as passengers prepared to take off from Chicago to Louisville on Sunday evening. The flight had been overbooked and when they did not get enough volunteers to leave - they selected someone themselves. But he did not want to get off.
Plus, yesterday a coroner ruled that a Derry teenager shot by the Army almost 45 years ago was totally innocent.15 year old Manus Deery was out with friends in the Bogside area when he was shot by a soldier from the City's walls. Manus died at the scene. The soldier who fired the shot has since died.
