With Deep Throat Choir live in session

Lauren Laverne has a live session from all-female collective Deep Throat Choir, plus Just Added, a Headphones Moment and as much music as she can pack in.

Lauren is the joined by the all-female collective with tracks from their debut LP 'Be Ok'. Formed in 2013 by Luisa Gerstein the choir has grown from 5 to an ensemble of up to 30. Their debut album came out on Bella Union Records in February this year and includes covers of Amy Winehouse, Wildbirds & Peacedrums and Dark Dark Dark, alongside a couple of original tracks too. The choir are gearing up for an album launch and a big festival appearance at Green Man in the summer, but will be cramming themselves into our little live room to warm up their vocal chords.

Lauren also has this week's Memory Tapes, a celebration of a listeners beloved mixtape. There's more new music for our Just Added playlist, a Headphones Moment and as much great music as we can pack in.
