Episode 4
Documentary series following Norwegian towing teams. In this episode, Bjorn heads out into the storm to help a lorry that's stuck in the snow.
Gach bliadhna, tha sneachd a' gheamhraidh san Nirribhidh a' dèanamh rathaidean nam beanntan cunnartach le reothadh, a' cur nan ceudan de là raidhean mòra far an rathaid. Tha Rathad na Deighe a' leantainn nan gaisgeach Lochlannach seo a' dol a-mach gus cobhair a thoirt do na là raidhean airson am faighinn air ais air an rathad. Tha Thord Paulsen agus a chriutha ann an Odda agus Bjørn Lægreid, a tha ag obair na aonar ann an Eidfjord a' farpais gus tiotal an luchd-sà bhalaidh rathaid as fheà rr a chosnadh.
Sa cheann a deas, tha Bjorn a' dol an aghaidh na stoirme gus cobhair a thoirt do là raidh agus airson na rathaidean ullachadh airson nan crann-sneachda, ach tha e ga fhaighinn fhèin ann an staing, gun comas aige air cuideachadh a thoirt dhaibh. Tha Thord a' faighinn obair faisg air là imh agus tha an sgioba aige ag obair gu trang air a' bheinn. Sa cheann a tuath, tha là raidh chruidh air a' chliathaich agus tha iad ag èigheachd air Marius, eòlaiche nam pocannan èadhar.
It happens every year. The harsh Norwegian winter turns mountain roads into bob sleigh tracks, and forces hundreds of 50-tonne trucks off the road. Ice Road Rescuers follows the daredevil Norwegian towing teams who set out to rescue these trucks and trailers on the icy mountains and get them back on track.
Enter Thord Paulsen and his crew in Odda, and lone wolf Bjorn Laegreid in neighbouring Eidfjord, both competing to be the best Road Rescuer. Down south, Bjorn heads out into the storm to help a truck and clear the road for the snow ploughs, but ends up stuck and unable to help.
Thord finds work right outside his door, whilst his crew find work on the mountain. Further north, a cattle truck is lying beside the road and the job calls for Marius, the expert of the airbags to come to the help.
