Kaye asks listeners if they take as much responsibility for parents as for children, plus she hears about the rise of the divorce party, and Ross Allan joins her for Ask the Vet.

Do you take as much responsibility for your elderly parents as you do for your children?
The UK Government minister for Care David Mowat MP has said that "nobody ever questions the fact that we look after our children" and we should take care of our parents in the same way.
Whose job is it to look after the elderly?

Research from Coventry University, as part of the 麻豆社 Learning Terrific Scientific Campaign, has found that eating something you do not like on a regular basis can make you like it more. So should you force your children to keep trying that food they hate so much?

Apparently divorce parties, already well established in the US, are beginning to be organised in the UK. We hear from someone who has thrown one to find out why!?

Our resident vet Ross Allan will take your calls plus he'll look at recent headlines including:
- Environmental health officers are investigating reports that six dogs have died at an Edinburgh park beside a former gas works.
- The new designer pet - the sausage cat
- Woman incubates emu egg bought off eBay and says hatched bird think she is his

An eighty year old grandfather hands out roses on Dumbarton high street every day in memory of his late wife. Stuart joins us in studio to talk about why he regularly performs this random act of kindness and find out how it helps him deal with the recent loss of his wife of 57 years.

Is there such a thing as an ethical egg? According to journalist Chas Newkey-Burden, free range is a con, and even organic eggs involve the mistreatment of chickens. Jane Haworth is the founder of British Hen Welfare Trust and Sascha Grierson co- manages an organic farming business.
