The penultimate episode sees the four remaining chefs battle for an all-important place in the final three and the chance to go to Oslo to learn from the star of Nordic gastronomy.

In tonight's penultimate episode the four remaining chefs battle for the all-important place in the final three, and the chance to go on the trip of a lifetime, travelling to one of the world's most exciting and innovative Michelin restaurants. The four finalists must first cook off in the MasterChef Kitchen. For one chef their MasterChef journey will be at an end, while the final three will travel to Oslo to learn from the star of Nordic gastronomy and cook in the three-Michelin-star restaurant Maaemo.

Chef Esben Holmboe Bang is a groundbreaking, innovative young chef. This dynamic chef creates his 20-dish menus using the heart of traditional Norwegian food and produce.

The three finalists have a rare opportunity to learn from Esben and his team. First, they must get to grips with his food philosophy in a masterclass where he demonstrates his signature dishes. The chefs must then show what they have learnt by creating a stunning dish to impress Esben himself. The chefs will have to draw inspiration from Esben's philosophy and the produce in front of them: mahogany clams, mackerel, fermented plants, ants and edible flowers.
