Marking the 50th CMA Awards
Patrick Kielty is live from the home of country music - Nashville, Tennessee with Reba McEntire, Thomas Rhett, Maren Morris, Cam and live music from house band The Mavericks.
Patrick Kielty is live from the home of country music Nashville, Tennessee to celebrate the 50th Annual Country Music Association Awards - The CMAs.
He's joined in the studio by Reba McEntire, one of the most successful country artists of all time. Reba has been nominated in the CMA female vocalist category a record 49 times and has sold over 90 million records worldwide in a career spanning more than 40 years.
Thomas Rhett, the singer-songwriter whose latest album 'Tangled Up' has been a huge success in the US and crossed over to the UK joins Patrick to talk about his upcoming UK tour.
Camaron Ochs, known simply as Cam, is also a guest. Her song' Burning House' from her debut album 'Untamed' is nominated in the Song and video categories at this year's awards.
The most nominated artist in 2016 is female vocalist Maren Morris. Her hit song 'My Church' is nominated for single and song of the year, and Patrick catches up with her on the eve of the CMA awards to talk about her incredible year.
Live in the studio is house band The Mavericks who perform some of their hits live and also country classics from across the decades.
He's also out and about in Nashville, exploring the Country Music Hall Of Fame and Museum to find out more about the history of Music City and how it all began. Plus Patrick visits satellite radio station Sirius XM The Highway to meet DJ Storme Warren and find out about where country music is today.
