The First Minister Arlene Foster has hit out at her unionist political rivals - branding the UUP's Mike Nesbitt as a leader who 'doesn't understand his own voters' - and saying that the TUV's Jim Allister is a 'one man band, heading towards retirement'.

The DUP leader was Speaking to the North Antrim Young Democrats in Kells on Saturday and announced that her party was about to launch a recruitment drive offering "boundless opportunities" to new members. "Successful parties look for converts - failed parties look for heretics," she declared.

Twaddell Protests
Dissident protestors lashed out at the end of the Twaddell parade stand-off at the weekend - verbally abusing a priest and threatening a newspaper reporter.
Around 40 members of GARC - the Greater Ardoyne Residents's Collective - led by dissident republican Dee Fennell, gathered to protest as the Ligoniel Orange lodges completed their return leg of the controversial parade.

Derry City and Strabane District Council has passed a motion calling on local newsagents to stop selling The Sun.
The motion was put forward to show solidarity with the families of the Hillsborough football stadium disaster.
A spokesperson for The Sun has hit out calling it 'extreme censorship'
