More live action from Rio, where sprint king Usain Bolt and taekwondo star Jade Jones are among the athletes hoping to be crowned Olympic champions over the next few hours.
The final of the women's taekwondo under-57kg category takes place, with Jones entering the competition as world number one and defending champion. The chief challenge to her crown was likely to come from Eva Calvo Gomez of Spain.
Olympic and world champion Bolt led a Jamaican sweep of the medals in the men's 200m four years ago. Silver medallist Yohan Blake is again likely to challenge, along with American Justin Gatlin, while Great Britain's Adam Gemili will harbour medal ambitions after proving his return to fitness with European gold last month.
Another British medal hopeful will be in-form Scot Eilidh Doyle in the women's 400m hurdles, while the decathlon reaches its climax with the punishing 1500m.
The last action of the day is on Copacabana beach as the men's title is decided. Brazil were anticipating home success, with Alison Cerutti and Bruno Schmidt the reigning world champions.
