Neighbourhood officer Dom Bryant gets an anonymous tip-off that some cannabis is being grown at a house in the small village of Burnham-on-Sea. Dom goes to investigate but soon finds out that all is not what it seems.
Police switchboard operators are used to taking the odd 999 call, but in Somerset they've been inundated with hundreds of nuisance calls, all from one man. After numerous warnings, the police have finally had enough and neighbourhood officers are going to arrest him.
And in Bath, a call comes in for neighbourhood officer, Roger Parker over the city's special communications network that connects the high street shops' security departments with the police. CCTV cameras in a large department store have picked up an Italian student in the act of stealing some clothes.
