Episode 3

Catriona MacPhee and Donald MacSween present the best of the action from the final day of the Scottish National Sheepdog Trials at Conon Bridge.

Tha an luchd-lìbhrigidh Dòmhnall MacSuain agus Catriona Nic a' Phì ann an Drochaid Sguideil airson an latha mu dheireadh de dh'fharpais Nàiseanta Chon-Chaorach na h-Alba. Cò ghlèidheas an fharpais?

Tha na caoraich rud beag frionasach air an latha mu dheireadh de dh'fharpais Nàiseanta na h-Alba agus an dòrtadh mòr ann. Ged tha sin mar sin, tha na cìobairean agus na coin air ghleus. Tha an latha a' fosgladh le Eoghann MacFhionghain a tha aig a' cheart àm na Cheann-suidhe an Alba agus e còmhla ri Midge. An dèidh cuairt shònraichte tha e gu follaiseach air slat-tomhais a chur a-mach do chàch. Ach a bheil sin gu leòr airson an tiotail a thoirt dha am-bliadhna? Agus an urrainn do Neil Gillon aig an robh dà chù ann an sgioba na h-Alba an-uiridh, a' cheart ghnìomh a dhèanamh a-rithist?

Anns na h-aithrisean fada againn, tha Dòmhnall MacSuain a' siubhal gu Corbridge ann an Northumberland a choinneachadh ri Sophie Hemmings. Chan eil Sophie ach trì bliadhn' deug agus tha i air a bhith a' ruith chon am farpaisean bhon bha i dìreach còig. Tha sinn cuideachd a' gabhail an rathaid ann an Glaschu a' feuchainn ann an cuairt bhliadhnail bhaidhseagal Chlò na Hearadh.
Tha a' chuairt a' nochdadh cho cudromach 's a tha clòimh ann an diofar dhòighean agus tha sinn a' còmhradh ri luchd-iomairt a tha a' feuchainn ris a' phrìs as fheàrr a ghabhas fhaighinn às leth nan tuathanach agus muinntir a' ghnìomhachais.

The final day of the Scottish National brings nervy sheep and some heavy rain. Despite this, the shepherds and dogs are on form. The day opens with current Scottish President Ewen MacKinnon on the post with his dog Midge. Will he do enough to become this year's Scottish Champion? And can Neil Gillon, who made the Scottish team with two dogs last year, repeat the same feat?

In our extended features, Donald MacSween travels to Corbridge in Northumberland to meet Sophie Hemmings. Sophie is just 13 years old and has been trialling since she was five. We also take to the streets of Glasgow on an exciting cycle run for the annual Harris Tweed Ride. The event highlights the importance of wool, and we speak to campaigners who aim to ensure that the most competitive pricing levels are secured for farmers and wool growers.
