PHONE IN: Smacking ban
Scottish Parents should be banned from smacking children, according to consultant community paediatrician Dr Lucy Reynolds who has called for a change in legislation from the Scottish Government. A low level of "reasonable chastisement" is currently permissible in Scotland but does that send out the wrong message about violence to children? Or would banning all smacking mean we are in danger of criminalising parents?
