Katie Puckrik chats to singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas about her second album, 'Blood'.

La Havas wrote the songs for 'Blood' after a trip to Jamaica with her mother reconnected her to her roots. The album follows her debut release, 'Is Your Love Big Enough?' which dropped in 2012, and led to collaborations with artists including Prince and Alt J.

Since leaving her role as a backing singer role for Paloma Faith, Lianne La Havas has performed at festivals including Glastonbury and the Isle of Wight, TV shows such as 'Later...with Jools Holland', and at a special concert in Manchester Cathedral which was broadcast in 164 countries.

In 2012, her music led to her winning the iTunes 'Album of the Year' award, and nominations for the 麻豆社 Sound of 2012, the Mercury Prize and two MOBOs for 'Best Female Act' and 'Best R&B/Soul Act'.
