With the Twilight Sad

Tom Robinson chats to Scottish post-punk trio the Twilight Sad ahead of the release of their album Oran Mor, a collection of reworked and stripped-back tracks.

Tom chats to Scottish post punk trio The Twilight Sad, who are releasing an album called '脪ran M贸r', a collection of reworked, stripped-back versions of tracks from their most recent album, 2014's 'Nobody Wants To Be Here and Nobody Wants To Leave', b-sides and a cover of Arthur Russell's 'I Couldn't Say It To Your Face'.
The seeds of the band formed in 2003 in Kilsyth in Scotland whilst at high school, and released their debut album 'Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters' in 2007. Significantly they released a stripped back version of this album the following year, demonstrating their interest in releasing less dense sounding music. They released further studio albums in 2009 and 2012 and have topped numerous end of year album polls throughout their career.
