Series following students in their first year at Edinburgh Theological Seminary as they begin training to become ministers in the Free Church of Scotland.

In this episode we see how both Iain and Paul are facing up to living on their own and making do for themselves. Innes's preaching is scrutinised in class, and in a guest lecture Rev Calum Iain Macleod warns of the dangers of overwork in the ministry.

We also meet student Martin Smith, from Charlotte Chapel Baptist Church in Edinburgh, and we hear how candidate minister Mark Macleod balances the demands of the seminary with those of his young family.
