New Generation Thinker Shahidha Bari and the Moroccan actress Houda Echouafni who played Sheherazade in a six hour stage version at the Edinburgh Festival in 2011, trace the history of the One Thousand and One Nights, the collection of stories and folk tales compiled during the Islamic Golden Age which has enthralled readers for centuries. Anne McElvoy presents.
