With Peaches
Tom chats to Berlin-based Canadian electronic musician and performance artist Peaches ahead of the release of her sixth studio album, Rub.
Tom chats to Berlin based Canadian electronic musician and performance artist Peaches. She releases her 6th studio album Rub in September.
She first became active in the early 90's in Toronto, and crossed paths with Chilly Gonzalez, Feist and Mocky, all of whom she has continued to work with throughout her career. She released an album under her own name Merrill Nisker in 1995, but the Peaches debut came in 2000 with The Teaches of Peaches. Her most recent album I Feel Cream was released in 2009.
She is known for her lyrical themes which don't follow gender norms and are often sexually explicit.
Huw Stephens from Radio 1 shares his personal tip from 麻豆社 Introducing, as does one of the Introducing shows from around the UK.
At 11 o'clock Tom launches The After Hour, where he dusts off tracks from the outer reaches of his record collection.
