The 'box at the docks' - the latest in the Waterfront Hall extension row
If you were listening yesterday you would have heard us discuss the new extension which is currently being built on to the Waterfront Hall in Belfast. At a cost 拢29.5m it will provide a new conference centre but - some have described it as an eyesore with names such as box on the docks, portacabin on the Lagan, and the shoe box - amongst others.
Should we be worried about the widening pay gap between bosses and their workers?
Top company bosses earn 183 times more than their workers on average.聽 That's the latest figure in a study by the High Pay Centre.聽 It says that in 2010, the chief executives earned 160 times more.
So does it matter - is growing inequality a worry?聽 Are big bosses paid too much, compared to their employees?
