Cheikh Lo Live, Highlights from Kocani Orkestar
Lopa Kothari and Mary Ann Kennedy conclude live coverage of the 2015 Womad festival, with live sets from Kocani Orkestar, Mbongwana Star and Cheikh Lo.
Live from Charlton Park in Wiltshire, Lopa Kothari and Mary Ann Kennedy introduce the final broadcast in this weekend's coverage of WOMAD, the leading festival of world music.
Tonight you can expect to hear the finest in Balkan brass from Macedonia's Kocani Orkestar, and the evocative Anatolian folksong from Turkey's Olcay Bayir. There'll be exclusive backstage sessions recorded specially for the programme, including South Sudanese duo Acholi Machon; and from approximately 11.00pm we join Senegalese superstar Cheikh Lo and his band performing songs from his new album Balbalou, live on the 麻豆社 Radio 3 Charlie Gillett Stage.
